The result is a signage monitor capable of ultra-low power operation, with a Never Blank™ display and options such as WiCharge wireless power. The E Ink Spectra 6 epaper display is highly visible in normal ambient light and very bright conditions making it ideal for public signage.
WiCharge™ severs the tether, and delivers a truly wireless power solution for digital products, the ideal complement to wireless data such as Wi-Fi. Digital View is excited to be able to offer this as a power option for this display.

There are several approaches to changing the image on the display (based on the standard version of the ESP6-13 monitor):
- USB-C connection from a PC to the SP6-133, this requires a Windows application we can provide.
- Wi-Fi with a suitable media application installed on the on-board ESP32 MCU and a matching remote content server. Digital View is able to offer an example application supporting up to 3 monitors with content updated via a cloud server.
- Bluetooth is also supported by the ESP32 MCU so an application could be developed to use that as a content update path.
Color Rendering
E Ink SPectra 6 displays require color rendering. This can be a pre-processing function or integrated as part of a CMS.
E Ink's epaper displays are bistable, this means that when an image is written to the display it will remain until a change is written to it. So if there is a power failure, the image that is there will remain there.
